My weekend was both expectedly uneventful and filled with hideous carnage, all of which can be classified as non-profit.
There is a hoarding house cleanup going on and we agreed to take in about a dozen of these terrorized kitties into the Cat Sanctuary, so we cleaned the debris left by the previous occupants and replaced it with some heavy duty furnishings from my personal stash. This is where having a pick up truck comes in handy, however now that it’s leaking several different fluids it is getting harder and harder to maintain it for this sort of thing.
Sunday split right down the middle between cleaning a section of the Rail Trail for the benefit of a Boston Globe photographer – btw ..MY GOD IN 2D I LOOK AS BIG AS A HOUSE!…and being kidnapped for what turned out to be an endless meeting featuring demonstrations of products that are sold out of one’s living room. (not MY living room of course.) I could have just stayed home and consumed my own cold pizza and warm soda while indulging in some DIY trepanation.

Tuesday I spent doing mostly Census stuff……and you thought I was just sitting around scooping cat litter…nope, the US GOV decided to give me another shot at counting humans in their natural habitat. Which incidentally caused my creditors to shudder with glee. And in the middle of the this dark crappy rainy day I get a call from a buddy who says, you gotta be at the river at 2:30 they are gonna restock the salmon….. which they shoot out of a hose from a truck into the river…or so they tell me, I sat down there for over an hour and no truck hence no fish, very underwhelming. Just three local media types, a cormorant, a couple of robins and several of the inebriated indigenous population waiting for a truck of fishlets that never arrived…why do I feel like were were in a Ionesco play and no one told me?

I don’t know what i was thinking the 1st time I overhauled
Sicpress.com. I think I was stuck trying to recreating the previous html page using Wordpress, so I tried to shoehorn it into a theme that wasn’t designed for it. Obviously making more work for myself, if I had just started from scratch it would have looked better and I wouldn’t be doing it again. The theme I stumbled on for this site looked so good, (well I think it looks good) even I couldn’t eff it up, so I decided to bookend them. I did find it is easier to work on more sites during the day if they are all using the same software. As I get older I have become a bear of very little brain. I still have some image tweaking to do, Word Press themes reflect the designer and thus come with all kinds of defaults you either live with or spend eternity trying to weed out. Sicpress has some image display issues which I seem to be more than happy wasting my entire day fiddling with. Crikey….me in a manic mode with at least one Redbull in me? I may end up getting a lot of crap done today.

I gave Frozen Franklin his own Facebook account.. Franklin is the kitten I pulled out of the cardboard box in the trash. I think I set it up wrong, instead of giving him a page for fans, I gave him his own account where he can accumulate friends…and the little bugger has friends that even I don’t have.

I set up this 1909 post card image of my house to print as a post card at vistaprint…but i am not sure what i would do with 100 post cards of my house. I don’t send post cards now…perhaps i should have them around in case I feel the urge?
opinion?

I had some fleece leftover and was still in a creative mood.
I needed a sling to help me socialize the kittens. One which allowed me to use both hands to work while they slept, yet kept them close enough to my chest so they could hear my breathing and heart beat.
I tried to keep the instructions as minimal as possible. One could even use a beach towel and safety pins.
50″ x 26″ piece of polyester fleece. If the 50″ is not long enough to wear comfortably use longer or add straps and buckles. (I hemmed the cut end with a zig zag stitch)
Fold the bottom 8″ up lengthwise.
and fold the top 4″ down, overlapping the bottom edge.
This will make a very long envelope pocket, giving the most room without ‘escape routes’.
Sew down either end giving a sort of enchilada effect.
Connect both ends to each other. I used safety pins because I found the 50″ length comfortable.
Insert kitten.
